Foreigners contribute largely to Chiang Mai’s growing population and with Western influences international clubs and associations has began to develop. Clubs such as AA (alcoholics anonymous) and the Rotary Club have been around for a while and continue to attract newcomers. Several clubs meet on a weekly basis at hotels, others for lunch and some at dinner. Two clubs hold their meetings in English and include international membership. Alcoholics Anonymous conduct their meetings at McCormick Hospital in Building 11, seminar room 133.

Chiang Mai Expats Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 10.30 a.m. at the Chiang Mai Orchid Hotel on Huay Kaew Road, next to Central Kad Suan Kaew. A non-profit branch of Lucky Dog Ltd., LuckyDogs Club is always looking for volunteers to help out in the shelter.

There are plenty more clubs and societies in Chiang Mai, it all depends on what you are specifically looking for. Here are some of the best known clubs.

To have your club or society added here please email: webmaster@guidelinescm.com
